In order to provide an optimal healing environment for our patients, the hospital visiting hours start at 6 in the morning and end at 9 p.m. Visitors are designated by the patient and may include, but are not limited to, a spouse, domestic partner (including same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend, and the patient has the right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time. Memorial Hermann will not restrict, limit, or otherwise deny visiting privileges based on age, race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression. Vending machines are located in front of the cafeteria.

Located on the first floor of the main hospital, our gift shop offers a variety of items such as gifts, cards and toiletries. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Please note that fresh flowers or potted plants are not allowed in several patient units including ICUs as they may contain harmful germs that could be dangerous to patients. For your convenience, ATMs are located in the vending machine area of the hospital next to the staff elevators on the first floor and in the lobby of the Emergency Center in front of the security office. Limited wireless access is available throughout the hospital campus. To access you must read and accept the Guest Wireless Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy when prompted.
Located on the first floor of the main hospital is the Southeast Café which is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Payment options include cash and credit cards. The Southeast Café offers a variety of dining options including hot breakfast, continental breakfast items, main courses, homemade pizza, a salad bar (with fresh vegetables), soups, specialty sandwiches, baked goods and a variety of beverages as well as a variety of pre-packaged items for those in a hurry.
The menu offering includes coffee, a variety of bottled beverages, on-the-go sandwiches and salads, yogurts, fresh fruits, frozen microwave meals and a variety of packaged snacks including healthy gluten-free and sweet and savoury products. Located on the first floor of the main hospital behind staff elevators is the Southeast C-Store which is open to the public Monday through Friday starting at 7 a.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 7 a.m. Memorial Hermann is committed to including patients' loved ones in their healing process as when friends family and caregivers work together patients often receive higher levels of safe quality care that leads to faster recovery processes and shorter hospital stays. For safety reasons patients or their visitors should not bring anyone else with them to their appointment which includes children under 18 and adults who can't care for themselves or move on their own.
Appointments will be rescheduled if a patient or visitor arrives with someone who depends on them for care. The break takes place at your home (or that of a family member or friend) or at a place in your community. In case of family emergency some respite service providers will provide emergency or crisis care in a facility or in your home.
